LEVEL 3 SAFE USE OF MECHANICAL RESTRAINTS
Qualification: Level 3 Award in the Safe Use of Mechanical Restraints (Handcuffs) (RQF)
Qualification number: 603/5162/7
A high-quality programme for SIA licence holders in the correct use of mechanical restraints.
The safe use of mechanical restraints has been in the news frequently over the last few years, with some high-profile cases that have brought scrutiny from legislators, the media and pressure groups. It’s therefore essential that individuals who may need to use mechanical restraints have the correct training.
Aimed at learners who have already gained an SIA licence, along with civil enforcement and community safety accredited persons, the qualification has been designed to allow them to expand their knowledge in the use of mechanical restraints in a safe and lawful manner, while covering the law and legislation around their use.
